Abstract :

Efficient IT incident resolution is essential for maintaining operational continuity and customer satisfaction in modern businesses. Despite the advancements in IT service management, many organizations still face challenges in resolving incidents promptly. This study explores the impact of automated scheduling and meeting coordination on the efficiency of IT incident resolution. Leveraging a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from 250 IT professionals across various industries using structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The sample size was determined using the Yamane (1967) formula, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study adopted descriptive and inferential statistics, including Pearson's correlation and regression analysis, to analyze the data. Findings indicate that automated scheduling tools significantly reduce incident resolution times and improve coordination efficiency (β = -1.6, p < 0.05). The regression model accounted for 65% of the variance in resolution times (R² = 0.65). These results underscore the importance of adopting automation technologies to enhance IT incident management processes. The study recommends organizations invest in automated scheduling tools and provide adequate training to maximize their benefits.
