1 A Critical Discourse Analysis of the Song "Tatsulok (Triangle)" By Bamboo | Ronald Paul A. Matampac

This study critically analyzes the song "Tatsulok" by the Filipino band Bamboo, using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to explore its socio-political messages and implications. The themes of socioeconomic inequality, power relations, and justice are examined in this study within the Philippine context. The song is a sociopolitical statement on the enduring problems of class conflict, the oppressed people's vulnerability, and the structural injustices that fuel social unrest on a large scale.

2 Di Lang Ikaw: A Discourse Analysis | Vincent Manalo Pobre

This paper presents a discourse analysis of the Filipino ballad "Di Lang Ikaw" by Julie Iris Valles Fernandez, known by her stage name Juris, a celebrated Filipino singer-songwriter. Written by Juris and arranged by Aiza Seguerra, the song explores themes of love, heartbreak, emotional distance, and mutual suffering. Through an in-depth discourse analysis approach, concentrating on the interpretation of language use within the song, the study identifies key linguistic features including rhetorical questioning, metaphor, repetition, and tone, which together convey the emotional complexity of a relationship in decline.

3 The Impact of AI-Driven Language Models on Second Language Acquisition | Dharani K, Shobana R

SLA has been revolutionized because of the rapid emergence of AI, and in particular large language models (LLMs) such as Bard, and Claude. Unlike other computer assisted language learning (CALL) applications, these artificially intelligent apps provide personalized and dynamic interactive language learning experiences. This research explores the pedagogical potential, cognitive effects, and affective aspects of using LLMs in second language learning environments. It also covers the moral, technical and pedagogical implications of the use of LLMs and offers an in-depth account of how they can enhance learners’ accuracy, fluency, motivation and participation.

4 Language Shift and Death Among Indigenous Dialects in India: Causes and Consequences | Devadharshini G, Kishalini C

Bilingual India with more than 1,600 languages and numerous native tongues spoken across its vast geographical and cultural landscape is one of most linguistically diverse countries in the world. These languages have unique cultural ceremonial roles, oral traditions, social structures and ecological knowledge developed over generations well beyond the role of communicative devices. However, many of India's mother tongues are quickly disappearing, and some have reached the stage of extinction.

5 Comparative Study of British vs. Indian Short Stories: Themes of Identity and Diaspora | Abirami, Swasti Karna

The essay undertakes a comparative analysis of selected short stories from India and Britain and focuses on the motifs of diaspora and identity. Short stories have always been a powerful medium with which to dissect the complexities of life, in a succinct and often stark manner; most especially when related to cultural dislocation and self-negotiation. Short stories frequently picture the interaction between individual and society's imperatives in both Indian and British writing, yet they address diaspora and cultural hybridity quite differently.
